Yasmine Singh is an ethnographer of religion whose research focuses on goddess worship, gender and sexuality, and class and caste dynamics in South Asia. She has previously taught courses in world religions, Asian religions, Hinduism, and Buddhism at North Carolina State and Duke Universities. She received her Ph.D. from Duke University, her M.A. from Wake Forest University, and her B.A. from Salem College.
