Celia Brewer Sinclair (B.A., Duke University; M.A., Yale Divinity School) is Senior Lecturer in Religious Studies.  She has taught in the fields of Bible and Religion since 1978, first in prep school and since 1992 on the college level.  Currently she is teaching courses entitled “Jesus and the Buddha,”  “Suffering and the Problem of Evil,” and “Heroes and Warrior Women.” Under the name Celia Brewer Sinclair, she is a writer of curricula for the United Methodist Publishing House and the author of the Disciple: Short-Term Bible Study on the Old Testament. Under the name Celia Brewer Marshall, she has authored three books published by Westminster/John Knox Press:  A Guide Through the Old Testament, A Guide Through the New Testament, and Genesis. Celia has two daughters, Anna and Sally, and is married to David Sinclair.
